Residents, neighborhood groups, churches and businesses are being asked by the city of Chandler to help identify properties in residential areas with overgrown weeds and make arrangements to pull them out during the second annual "Let's Pull Together Week" May 6-15.
Areas overgrown with weeds are not only unsightly, but also a fire danger. The city's code enforcement unit may intervene, but that can be a lengthy process. So volunteer weed-pullers are needed.
Individuals or groups interested in taking an active role in this project are asked to register with Judy Ramos, neighborhood program coordinator, by calling (480) 782-4348 or sending an email to email@example.com.
