Chandler is hosting a Valleywide job fair Tuesday, along with a Friday resume review to prepare job-seekers in advance of the main event. More than 60 employers, career experts and motivational speakers are participating in the free Chandler Career Connect from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Chandler Center for the Arts, 250 N. Arizona Ave.
On Friday, volunteers from the Maricopa Workforce Connections will review resumes from noon to 4 p.m. at the Downtown Chandler Library, 22. S. Delaware. Experts will give tips on how job-seekers can improve their chances and help ready people for on-the-spot interviews at the job fair. Candidates are encouraged to bring hard copies of their resume along with a version on a laptop, flash drive or disc so experts can give tips to improve resumes on computers reserved for that purpose.
Chandler Career Connect is also offering educational and motivational speakers. Sessions range from effective networking and building a personal brand to improving social media skills and learning to create happiness out of adversity.
