It’s time to lace up your running shoes because registration has begun for the 28th Annual Gilbert Days 5K and 1 Mile Run and Family Expo Friday, Nov. 16 at Freestone Park.
The festivities begin at 4:30 p.m. with the annual mascot race, followed by the 1-mile run at 4:45 p.m. The newly chipped timed 5K race will begin at 5:05 p.m. Each participant will receive a Gilbert Days T-shirt and will be eligible to win post-race sponsor giveaways.
The family expo will have finish-line products, local vendors, various health screenings, chair massages and other health and wellness services.
Register online at www.gilbertrecreation.com through Nov. 7. Walk-in registration is also available at the Parks and Recreation office at 90 E. Civic Center Drive.
