SRP’s board of directors on Monday approved a new executive management team for Mark Bonsall, former chief financial executive and manager of commercial and customer services who was named general manager in April. Bonsall’s team will consist of SRP veterans John F. Sullivan, Michael Lowe, Michael Hummel, Gena Trimble, Aidan McSheffrey, Peter Hayes and Michael O’Connor, many of whom have held positions in customer services and community relations at the utility.
Bonsall said SRP is uniquely positioned to help the state economy get back on its feet. “SRP is standing at a place where the types of decisions we make now can directly influence the management of our resources — water and power — and can and must fuel the Valley’s future economic success,” he said in a statement.
Bonsall said customer service will be a key component of SRP’s focus, and Black and Veatch Management Consulting was retained to help review the utility’s organizational structure and keep it focused on better serving customers.
