The Town of Gilbert is holding an electronic waste collection event this Saturday to receive small electronic products from residents.

As part of a collaboration with the Gilbert Farmers Market and Gilbert Art Walk, the town will accept non-working or unwanted appliances like curling and flat irons, computers, printers, televisions, cell phones, cords and chargers to recycle. Large appliances like refrigerators, washers and dryers will not be accepted.

The event will be held in Downtown Gilbert between 8 a.m. and noon. People who can't make the event can drop off items at Gilbert’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility located at 2224 E. Queen Creek Road between 8 a.m. and noon.

McQueen Park Activity Center located at 501 N. Horne Street and the Freestone Recreation Center at 1141 E. Guadalupe Road will also accept items through Saturday.

More information is available by visiting gilbertaz.gov or calling (480) 503-6459.
