The East Valley Institute of Technology, which offers classes in 35 occupation-specific programs for high school students, will dedicate its new east Mesa campus 9 a.m. Oct. 26 at 6625 S. Power Road.

EVIT serves students from 10 East Valley school districts, including Apache Junction, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek, Tempe and Higley. The 87,000-square-foot campus opened for the start of the school year in August 2011. More than 250 students are enrolled in aviation and health programs at the new facilities, which sit next to ASU Polytechnic and near Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.

As part of the ceremony, the Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club will present to EVIT a handcrafted Peace Pole with the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth" on each side of the pole written in four languages. Tours will be offered following the ceremony.

Reservations are requested by Oct. 20 to Tiffani Nichols at tnichols@evit.com or (480) 461-4032.
