Mesa's Falcon Field Airport will be all abuzz Saturday and Sunday with military ground and air vehicles as part of the fifth annual Southwest Military Transport show.

The event, which will include the Commemorative Air Force Museum's B-17G "Sentimental Journey," is sponsored by the Arizona Historical Military Transport Association, said member Dave Boehmer.

Boehmer said military vehicles from wars - including World War II, Korea and Vietnam - will be on display.

"These vehicles are privately owned by club members and many have undergone meticulous restoration," Boehmer said.

He said vendors will sell collectable items in a swap meet setting that will also include food. A military themed plastic scale model show and contests will also be available, Boehmer said.

The event is coordinated in honor of military members who made sacrifices in all U.S. conflicts, he said.
