ASU’s Tempe campus is once again the largest in the nation this fall, with an enrollment of 55,552, according to a news release from Arizona State University.
The release notes that ASU has continued to expand access to a rising number of qualified Arizona high school graduates.
The Tempe campus topped Ohio State University’s Columbus campus, which had been the nation’s largest campus for the past three years. Ohio State grew 2 percent to 55,014 from last year, but ASU posted a 5 percent gain, the release said. ASU was number one four years ago.
The remaining top five are: University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities, 51,659; the University of Texas in Austin, 51,032; and the University of Florida at Gainesville, 49,679.
