Tempe police are asking for the public's help identifying a driver suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run crash.

Approximately 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, a 55-year-old man was riding his bicycle to work when he was struck by a vehicle making a left turn from eastbound 5th Street to northbound Siesta Lane.

According to police, the suspect vehicle fled the scene and left the victim with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A witness reported seeing a white pick-up stop near the accident scene, but it is unknown whether or not the vehicle was involved in the collision.

Police say they found what appears to be broken glass from a bug shield on the suspect's vehicle at the scene.

If you have any information regarding the crash, call the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
