The Mesa Police Department posted a statement on its Facebook early Tuesday warning residents that a group of men are making their way through neighborhoods falsely posing as Dish Network employees.

According to the post, the men ask to see the resident’s cable or satellite bill and claim they can “save them money” on their TV bill.

But in fact, they are “shopping your home to see what you have to steal later,” according to Mesa Police.

The department also reminded residents not to call the number on the business card or flyer and not to give out personal information.
