Gilbert experts who have experienced the devastation of child drownings are sharing their stories and answering questions in a 90-minute public forum called "Treading Safe Waters" now playing on Gilbert's public access Channel 11 and online at www.gilbertaz.gov, according to a town statement.

The forum was filmed May 11 and includes panelists such as Tracey Fejt, a registered nurse who is an injury prevention coordinator for Cardon Children's Medical Center in Mesa and a member of the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona.

Jim Jobusch, another panelist, is the Gilbert interim fire chief who has been a firefighter for 28 years.

The forum explores drowning statistics, prevention tips and a myriad of stories.
