Arizona teens give a lot of themselves, especially their blood.

In Arizona, teens give more blood than any other age group, according to United Blood Services. This week, the Arizona Diamondbacks helped honor those students and high schools that went above and beyond the call of duty.

Students at Gilbert's Highland High School gave the most donations in Arizona last year - 837. Chandler's Basha High School and Apache Junction High School each won their divisions (based on the number of seniors at the school) for donations.

Since the Arizona Diamondbacks signed on as sponsors for United Blood Services High School Challenge in 1998, teen donations have more than doubled. Last school year, students organized 414 blood drives across Arizona, earning awards for 98 high schools.
