Police have arrested a suspect who they say stabbed a man and hit him in the head with a motorcycle helmet at a Mesa apartment complex on Monday.
Sean Gleason, 45, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault about 1:30 a.m. after officers responded to the Tuscany Palms Apartment Homes at 901 S. Country Club Drive when a security guard at the complex provided the license plate number of the motorcycle Gleason fled on.
The injured man, who had been stabbed in the leg foot and wrist, told police that Gleason assaulted him because he believed that he had stolen something from him.
When police arrived at Gleason's residence, they discovered blood on his shoes and he admitted to being in an altercation with the victim, police said.
