Just more "pie in the sky" rhetoric from ........Mesa City Hall.
A Metro Line to "nowhere" (Downtown Mesa).
A $100 Million Dollar Cubs Stadium that looks almost exactly like the Stadium they used to play in except just 20% bigger with a ......26 ACRE ........"LAWN".
A failed "alternate energy" employement/jobs push that was blown out of the water by the Chinese "pennies an hour wages".
The continuing "Keep on Digging the Hole...deeper...deeper" ...Fiesta Mall/Southern Avenue Debacle.....$10 Milion Dollars thrown at the problem here.....$15 Million Dollars there............LIPSTICK ON A PIG.
Hundreds of thousands of dollars for ........BUS STOPS FROM HOLLYWOOD = BEAUTIFUL FOR THE DRIVER FROM "LAS SENDAS" TO LOOK AT WHILE THEY DRIVE TO ASU STADIUM...........BUT VERY LITTLE SHADE FOR THE ILLEGAL ALIEN/POOR COMMUTER WHO HAS TO STAND IN 120DEGREE HEAT WAITING FOR HIS WHEELS TO GET HIM/HER TO THEIR MINIMUM WAGE JOB.

And don't forget the Waveyard amusement park promised years ago!

Yes, but how much of these dream developments wasted taxpayer dollars? I remember Waveyard paid for the vote. Im happy that it did not get off the ground and go into bankruptcy. Have you looked at all the empty buildings in Vegas area? Then its an eyesore that just sits there. Mesa needs a huge resort such as Gaylord. Lets see if things turn around and if DMB sticks with the plans to build a resort hotel at that location or just do the same ol thing by building more homes. I am guessing the later.
