What is a black hole? Learn the answer to this question and many more at the free astronomy open house Friday at Arizona State University.

The event will focus on a talk about "Quasars and their Supermassive Black Hole Engines" by Matt Mechtley, an astrophysics graduate student, at 8:10 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Visitors can also view shows about the night sky at the ASU Planetarium prior to each talk.

The event will take place on the roof of the Bateman Physical Sciences Center H-Wing, Tempe campus. To find the event, go to the main entrance to the Bateman H-wing. Free parking is available after 7 p.m. in the Tyler Street Parking Garage. For a campus map and parking information, go to http://astopenhouse.com.
