Memorial services have been set for a Tempe police detective who died over the weekend after a battle with cancer.
The public can attend a reception with friends and family of Tim Barber 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Hardy police substation, 8201 S. Hardy Drive. A memorial service will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday at Chandler Christian Church, 1825 S. Alma School Road, followed immediately by a graveside service at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road.
The family is accepting donations via the Tempe Police Foundation, Tax ID No. 26-3670930, P.O. Box 27661, Tempe, AZ 85285. "Tim Barber" should be written on a check's memo line.\
