Tempe police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who robbed a branch of the Desert Schools Federal Credit Union last week. Up to a $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his conviction.

After waiting in line at the Desert Schools Federal Credit Union, 1245 E. Broadway Road about 3:30 p.m. on July 30, a man described to be in his 20s with a brown goatee and brown hair, gave a handwritten note to a teller demanding money from the bank, according to Tempe police.

After acquiring an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the area on a back sport motorcycle and was last seen driving eastbound through the parking lot.

The robber, who was described as about 5 feet 7 inches tall, was wearing a plain dark baseball cap, mirrored sunglasses with orange or pink frames, a long-sleeve white baggy shirt with a brown polo shirt with horizontal orange stripes over the white shirt and white gym shoes with dark laces. The suspect also has an unknown tattoo on the back of his neck and possible a tattoo near his wrists.

Anyone with any information can contact the Tempe Police Department at (480) 350-8311 or Silent Witness at (480) 948-6377.
