A five-week-old orange tabby kitten named Libby was rescued Wednesday by an Arizona Humane Society worker.

“Best, most destructive, most rewarding and hardest rescue to date,” Andy Gallo said.

At the Pyle Adult Recreation Center in Tempe, employees heard cries for weeks but could not figure out where they were coming from, AHS said.

After calling AHS, Gallo found that the kitten was actually in the ceiling. He cut a hole and was able to rescue Libby.

The kitten weighed in at a mere pound and is in foster care to get back to a healthy weight, AHS said.
