An Arizona Department of Public Safety officer suffered minor injuries in a crash southeast of Phoenix.

Authorities say the accident occurred just before 7 p.m. Friday on the Loop 202 freeway, near the junction with Loop 101.

KNXV-TV reports that video showed the extensive damage to the front of the patrol car.

DPS says the officer was treated by paramedics at the scene, then transported to a hospital where he was treated and released.

DPS did not immediately have information on what caused the crash.
