A crash in Gilbert sent a 7-year-old to the hospital Monday and closed down streets for more than four hours.
Police said Elia Lopez, 32, ran a red light and struck a van carrying the child and Jeffery Ames, 46, just before noon at Lindsay and Queen Creek roads.
The crash knocked the vehicles into a streetlight pole.
The intersection was closed while crews brought in a crane to repair the traffic signals.
