A Gilbert family had a creepy encounter with a home intruder Friday.
According to Gilbert police, no one was injured and nothing stolen in the 3:43 a.m. incident in the 2500 block of East Oxford Court, near Ray Road and Loop 202.
A 13-year-old boy woke up to find a 6-foot-tall, white man with tattoos on both arms in his room.
The man said he was there for some sort of pool service.
The teenager sent the man to his parents’ room, where he identified himself as Paul and said he was there for pool service, but that he must have the wrong address.
Police believe he got in through an unlocked door.
The man left through the front door and drove off in an older red or maroon two-door Toyota pickup truck. The truck was hauling pool-cleaning equipment in the bed.
