Chandler mayor plans business trip to China

Chandler Mayor Boyd Dunn will  travel to China next week to take part in an international conference on sustainable development, industrialization and technology.

The Caofeidian Forum 2009 will be held Oct. 15-17 in the Caofeidian Bohai International Convention Center in the city of Tangshan, in north China, east of Beijing. Conference organizers will pay all of Dunn's expenses.

The conference is expected to include about 10 U.S. mayors and representatives from the United Nations, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, and Forbes 500 companies.

It is being sponsored by China's Hebei Provincial Government, Ministry of Land & Resources, Ministry of Environmental Protection and Development Research Center of the State Council of China.
