The Chandler Chamber of Commerce is seeking candidates for its comprehensive leadership training program, The Chandler Leadership Institute. The chamber is seeking those who have a desire to serve the community, leadership potential and a willingness to commit time to the program.

The program, which started in 1984, has a graduate list of over 600, including community leaders in politics, business, education and the health industry, according to a news release.

The program, which starts Jan. 21, 2011 and runs through October, includes a monthly class on issues affecting the Chandler area, such as public safety, education, government, health, media, and infrastructure and environment. Participants get the chance to speak with experts and take part in a hands-on class project that benefits a Chandler-based organization, according to the release.

Applications are available on line at www.chandlerchamber.com or by calling the Chandler Chamber of Commerce at 480 963-4571. Deadline is Dec. 30.
