Harkins Theatres donated $64,000 to the Phoenix Children's Hospital Wednesday, as part of the loyalty program at the local movie theater chain.

The proceeds from the Harkins Theatre 2011 loyalty program, which include a loyalty cup and T-shirt, will go to the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at the children's hospital.

This is the second year that Harkins has teamed up with Phoenix Children's Hospital.

Next year's loyalty cup and T-shirt were also unveiled at the event and proceeds will again benefit Phoenix Children's.

Phoenix Children's has the largest pediatric cancer program in Arizona and is a major participant in research to find cures for childhood cancer. The hospital conducts trials, giving pediatric patients access to some of the newest treatments available.
