Gilbert schools appoints principals

The Gilbert Unified School District board on Tuesday approved the appointments of three principals and an assistant principal for the upcoming school year.

Jim Baker will be the principal at Towne Meadows Elementary School. Baker is now the assistant principal at Highland High School. He will replace Barb Osland, who is retiring.

Colin Kelly will be the principal at Greenfield Elementary School. Kelly is now the assistant principal at Mesquite High School. He will replace Robert Rimer, who is retiring.

Terry Maurer will be the new principal for Sonoma Ranch Elementary School. Maurer is now the assistant principal at Gilbert Junior High School. He will replace Sharon Skoworn, who is retiring.

Marcie Taylor will be the new assistant principal for Highland High School. Taylor is now the dean of students at Highland High School. She will replace Baker, who is moving to Towne Meadows.
