Gilbert police start holiday toy drive Monday

The Gilbert Police Department's Crime Prevention Unit starts its annual holiday toy drive on Monday, and is seeking donations from the public.

Donation boxes for new and unwrapped toys will be at a variety of business locations throughout Gilbert through Dec. 20. Citizens will be able to donate the toys for children up to age 17.

Gift cards will also be accepted. In addition, donations of wrapping paper, tape, and bows are appreciated.

The gifts will be distributed Dec. 21 through Dec. 23.
