The Tempe Chamber of Commerce has honored Vicki Kringen, vice president/COO of TCH/The Centers for Habilitation, as 2011 Business Woman of the Year. In her 16 years at TCH, Kringen has helped the agency adopt a social enterprise model resulting in the launch of Assured Security Document Destruction, which currently employs 89 people with disabilities.
Kringen also served as the board chair for the Tempe Chamber of Commerce (2009-2010), and was a founding member of Neighborhood Economic Development Corporation, a graduate of Tempe Leadership and a former long-standing board member of MesaCAN.
The award was established to recognize an outstanding business woman who has achieved excellence in her field, displayed leadership in the community, served as a positive role model and is active in programs within the community and the Tempe Chamber.
