The City of Mesa will celebrate Independence Day a few days early during the Fourth-Annual Southwest Ambulance Arizona Celebration of Freedom on June 29.

Scheduled to run from 6 to 11 p.m. along Center Street in Mesa, the event combines a number of musical acts like Cowboy Mouth, Mogollon and Tyrone Vaughn; family attractions like a public safety zone and a splash zone; several opportunities to recognize veterans; and fireworks to celebrate the Fourth of July.

Public parking for the event is available in and around downtown Mesa, and all public lots will have handicap parking. People who would rather not drive can use the Downtown BUZZ and Route 40 to commute to and from the event.
