Too bad we don't have political leaders with spines. Most accidents could easily be avoided if we had some real laws pertaining to the art and science of driving.
How about this:
First offense for driving while on the phone, texting, eating, putting on makeup, or any other form of taking your mind off the road = 1 week license suspension.
Second offense = 1 month of suspension.
Third offense = you're walking forever. If you're too immature to drive like a rsponsible adult, then you can't drive.
Driving while under the influence of any substance equals the same penalties. If you cause an accident while doing anything stupid, your license is gone forever.
Everything in our country is easily fixable, but that would take some decency and guts on the part of those baboons we elect to represent us. Ain't gonna happen.
