From high foreclosure rates to homeowners not being able to afford monthly dues, the recession has created all kinds of challenges for homeowners associations and their residents.

That’s why a panel of attorneys will be on hand at the Queen Creek Public Library tonight to discuss financial challenges facing HOAs as part of Queen Creek’s HOA Summit. The evening will feature a presentation from three Valley attorneys specializing in HOA issues, a Q&A and a facilitated discussion where participants can discuss issues their HOAs are facing, possible solutions and the resources they need.

Individuals who serve on HOA boards, volunteer on neighborhood committees, work with neighborhoods or live in neighborhoods in the Queen Creek area are invited to attend the free event.

The event is from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Queen Creek Public Library, 22407 S. Ellsworth Road.
