Queen Creek residents will find it's now easier and less expensive to "go green" as reduced, flat fees for permitting, inspection and plan review of solar photovoltaic and solar hot water heating systems are now in effect, according to a town statement.

Permitting and plan review fees are now set at $375 for solar photovoltaic systems and $150 for solar hot water systems, according to the statement.

The flat fee structure allows homeowners and contractors to accurately predict the total installation costs of these green systems.
