Maricopa County Animal Care and Control has lowered the cost of cat adoptions this month in an effort to find homes for the animals in its overflowing shelters.

Cats older than 6 months are $34, and kittens are $50. Adopt two cats and the second one is half off. The fee includes a spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination and an adoption booklet.

Cat adoptions are available at the Animal Care Center, 2630 W. 8th Street, Mesa. Information: (602) 506-7387 or pets.maricopa.gov.
