Keep an umbrella and jacket nearby. It's going to be a wet week with high temperatures in the 60s and 50s, according to the National Weather Service.
The first of four storms hit the Valley Monday and will continue through Friday or Saturday, with the biggest storm expected to hit the area late Thursday and into Friday. Meteorologists expect 3 to 5 inches of rain during the week.
"The jet stream has dropped to the Southwest, bringing all the storms to the Pacific, right over California and Arizona," said Keith Kincaid, a meteorological technician with the Phoenix bureau of the National Weather Service.
With the rain will come some "urban and small-stream flood issues," meaning normally dry washes will fill up, Kincaid said.
As much as an inch of rain is expected early Wednesday morning, gearing up for the big Thursday-to-Friday storm, Kincaid said.
The Valley may have possible thunderstorms Thursday evening, he said.
