Police in Oklahoma have arrested a brother of the man suspected in two sexual assaults linked to the Valley's Baseline Killer case at the request of Phoenix police.

Marvin Goudeau, 40, is the third brother and fourth relative to be arrested since Mark Goudeau was charged with the sexual assaults in September. Phoenix police Sgt. Andy Hill said Marvin Goudeau is not a suspect in the Baseline Killer case.

Hill said, however, the task force investigating the case asked Oklahoma authorities to arrest Marvin Goudeau Tuesday in rural Oklahoma so they could ask him questions related to his brother's case.

"Our responsibility is to talk to every lead," Hill said.

Marvin Goudeau is suspected of a probation violation in Arizona stemming from an auto-theft conviction, Hill said.

Two other brothers, Michael and Marcus Goudeau, were picked up by Phoenix police in late September and asked about the case.

Hill said police also have arrested one of Mark Goudeau's nephews but did not provide a name.

None of the relatives is a suspect in the Baseline Killer case, Hill said.

Mark Goudeau, 42, has been charged with 20 counts ranging from drug use to sexual assault. He is suspected in the September 2005 rapes of two women in Phoenix, which police believe are connected to the Baseline Killer.

Goudeau, however, has not been named a suspect in the other crimes tied to the killer believed responsible for a total of 23 rapes, robberies and homicides since August 2005.
