Other things that contribute to a coming fare increase.are :
1. An epidemic misuse of reduced fare passes.
2. Poor to non -existent Sunday. and holiday. service.
3. Virtually no late night service.
4. Too much emphasis on light rail at the expense of bus service.
5. The cities have too much say on service hours and route s.
(ie Gilbert and Chandler limitd routes and area coverage are almost not worth the bother of having transit service)
6. Valley Metro is too. top heavy ity to many levels of management, it is time to totally regionalize transit service.
7. It is time to allocate a bigger percentage of funding from proposition 400 funding away from frivolous road building projects to it's intended purpose public transportation.
