TUCSON — An executive at a Tucson medical manufacturing firm has lost his job after directing verbal attacks at a Chick-fil-A employee.
Adam Smith filmed himself berating the employee Wednesday for statements the company's president has made in opposition to same-sex unions. Smith then posted the video online but later removed it.
The Arizona Daily Star (http://bit.ly/N6lGTZ) reports that Smith stepped down as chief financial officer of Vante shortly after.
Vante president Roger Vogel says Smith's comments were inappropriate, and the decision for him to step down was mutual.
Gay rights activists and other gay marriage supporters are planning a "Kiss In" at Chick-fil-A restaurants Friday as a protest.
The event follows a customer appreciation day Wednesday that set a one-day sales record.

This ridiculous incident has nothing to do with the various protest/support issues surrounding CFA at the moment.
This is simply one loud-mouthed jerk who berated an innocent fast food employee.
Shame on him and anyone who thinks he accomplished anything other than making himself look like a complete jer.

Where are all the Chick-Fil-A supporters? They claimed to be championing free speech, what about this guy's free speech...or does the defense of free speech only apply when it's bigoted hate speech?
So, where is the outpouring of support for this guy's Free Speech?
Surely not EVERY Chick-Fil-A supporter is a hypocrite...

What a complete jerk to harass that girl who was just doing her job. For all he knows, she may feel the same way he does. This guy needs to have his asz kicked and good work to the girl for keeping her composure.

To "Engaged Voter" he can say what he wants, but he doesn't have the right to block paying customers. "I am all excited about getting my FREE water, as I wait here for 20 minutes in line!..." Give me a break!

only in the land of the free can you make a total moron of yourself on camera, post it on u-tube and get fired from your probably nearly 6 digit income all in one week. This had absolutley nothing to do with free speech. It had everything to do with trying to intimidate a 20 year old girl. I am not to thrilled with chkfil-a's CEO remarks or actions but what this guy in Tucson did was not right. He picked on a low line employee, who should have told him if he was not ordering to move on and then "have a nice day." She has nothing to do with the decision and has no say in the matter. She is just trying to earn a buck. I hope this guy feels a sense of accomplishment because that's about all he has right now.
