Gilbert police are looking for a 23-year-old man in connection with a jewelry heist last month in which a store employee was blindfolded and bound with duct tape.
Gilbert police Sgt. Jeff Esslinger said Raheem R. Oliver, hometown unknown, is believed to be one of four men who at 10:40 a.m. July 14 walked into Rose Jewelers, 3671 E. Baseline Road, and robbed it.
A large amount of jewelry taken in the robbery was later found and linked to Oliver and the three other men, Esslinger said. He declined to elaborate.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Oliver, who is considered armed and dangerous, Esslinger said.
Details of the robbery have not been released until now because of the sensitivity of the case, he said.
There are other criminal cases in other jurisdictions that may involve the same four men, Esslinger said.
Anyone who has information on Oliver’s whereabouts is asked to call police detective Dave Rich at (480) 635-7284.
