The canals have been operational in Arizona longer than most people have been alive in this state. Stay away from them if you cannot swim, and watch your kids around water, whether a canal, a pool, or a bathtub. Other than that, the only one's floating are Darwin Award winners.

Those are very harsh comments when you are talking about CHILDREN.... although I do pity loubator's children. Considering that they will never have the freedom to play outside with a friend by themselves, take a bike ride with a buddy, etc, since they will be watched AT ALL TIMES by their parents! Poor kids are going to grow up more anti-social than he/she is! As for 8000 - I sure would like to see you say that to the parent of one of the children that did die - you know - since they didn't deserve to be parents anyway. I guess they should be feel blessed that the canal has such slippery slides that their child accidentally fell in and couldn't fight the current so they eventually had to give up their strugle and succumb to the frigid water -possibly thinking that their punishment for disobeying their parents one time will now lead to their death. Gosh, you should tell them that they are lucky parents!

Listen - - - You two can have your holier than thou attitude - but remember, accidents do happen, even to those that
are holier than thou.... and karma is everywhere.....

You both have condemned children and stated that they deserved to die - children - who were all under the age of 12 with one being 2 years old. Natural selection.... for CHILDREN! I believe they save a special spot in hell for people like you.

kj, you are a knucklehead. My kids are grown and gone. They've managed. As for you, why not take a dip in a canal!

Juggernaut8000 do you even have a family because what you commented seems like you don't have a heart. You must be a lonely person. How can you be heartless?
