A suspect was arrested for the armed robbery of the Desert Schools Credit Union in Mesa shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday, said Sgt. Anthony Landato, Mesa Police spokesman.
According to police, the suspect is believed to have robbed the branch at Stapley Drive and Brown Road.
No injuries at the bank occurred and police found the suspect at a residence southwest of the credit union, Landato said. The suspect, who has not yet been identified by police, was taken into custody without incident, and is believed to possibly have been involved in two other recent Mesa robberies.
