Valley volunteers who are passionate about the fight against breast cancer are encouraged to apply to become the 2010 Susan G. Komen Phoenix Race for the Cure Race Chair-Elect.
Application packets, including a detailed description of the position, are available online at www.komenphoenix.org and are due by 5 p.m. Jan. 5.
Qualified candidates must be willing to fulfill the time commitment required by the position and should have experience in at least one of the following areas: fundraising, event operations, volunteer management, administration, planning, marketing or breast health.
Duties include attending training sessions, reviewing communications, participating in all Race Committee meetings and attending as many additional functions as possible concerning the management of the race.
The 18th annual Susan G. Komen Phoenix Race for the Cure will be held on Oct. 10 in the State Capitol District.
