chatmandu002: just curious. how much money was spent in ohio trying not to overturn the union restrictions?
"Maybe those benefits need to be cut back to help balance the state budget. Who knows? = Hello, Mark....this is your...."Mike Mcqueary Moment"....are you going to run to your buddy, Mark Flatten or his "Horizon" TV show buddy, Ted Simmon for advice and counciling......or are you going to stand up on your "own hind legs" for once and give "your" opinion.
What has happened to acting like an adult "man" or "woman" in America.
We have a President, Barack Hussein Obama (who may or may not have been born in Hawaii..lol) = who is per his own White House staff's admission believes in ..."Leading from Behind". Most of our Leaders have no stomach for "leading" anymore....just look at Attorney General Holder and Secretary of Homeland "IN-Security", Janet Napolitano. Our City Council Members have become "nodding head dolls" doing the Mayors bidding in most Arizona Cities and Towns.
Thank God for Leaders like Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Sheriff Paul Babeu, ex-Speaker Adams, ex-Senate President Russell Pearce and our strong, gutsy Governor Janet Brewer.
So Mark, write a column with an opinion.."your" opinion..not your editors, not your publishers, not what readers want to hear but what you believe deep down in your guts..don't be like the "reader-commenters" in this newspaper who don't have the guts to put their names to what they standfor. Emiliano Zapata, a Mexican Revolutionary Leader said it perfectly = "I would rather live one day standing up the a lifetime on my knees".
Mark, I thought getting the public sector unions under control and restricting their bargaining rights would be a long term advantage for the state of Wisconsin. Or is it that you believe the unions will get back all these rights if Gov Walker is recalled. With the labor union spending over $30+million in Ohio to overturn the union restrictions, I wonder how much the unions will spend to recall Gov Walker and get democrats elected. All this money being spent by unions to overturn and recall people, while the 99%ers are complaining about the corporations buying politicians and influencing legislation.
