The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has appointed a replacement for state Rep. Sam Crump of Anthem.

Phoenix resident and political activist Amanda Reeve was named on Wednesday to the District 6 seat representing north Phoenix, New River and Anthem.

Crump resigned from the state Legislature late last month to campaign for the U.S. House seat being vacated by Rep. John Shadegg, an Arizona Republican who is retiring.

Republican District 6 precinct committeemen recommended the 33-year-old Reeve and two others to the supervisors to replace Crump.
