The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday the arrests of 35 suspected illegal immigrants.

Deputies made the arrests Tuesday night. They say the arrests have brought the total number to 141 in the past month.

The sheriff's office said the arrests were the result of three separate traffic stops in which deputies were able to identify and stop vehicles that were being used to smuggle illegal immigrants to various locations across the United States.

The majority of the suspected illegal immigrants were booked into the county jail on felony state human smuggling charges.
