Metro will increase light-rail service on Monday to accommodate passengers using the train for July 4 festivities. Rather than the normal 20-minute holiday service, Metro will operate trains every 10 minutes by 5 p.m. A similar level of service will resume later in the evening as events wind down. The last trips will begin at midnight rather than the normal 11 p.m. ending time.

Metro is telling passengers to expect crowds and possible delays. Also, the transit agency advises passengers to buy an all-day pass to reduce time spent at fare vending machines.
