Next week, a portion of Chandler Basis School is being dedicated as the Hetrick Aviation Center. The school received the honor because of its participation in the Mountain Rep National Aerospace Day event in September. The multiday event, hosted by Mountain Rep and sponsored by Raytheon, raises enough money to purchase books and items which would compliment an aviation center to be donated to a deserving school.

This year the theme was in celebration of the Naval Centennial. The honoree, a survivor of Pearl Harbor, is Clare Hetrick, who will be at the Chandler Basis event to cut the ribbon.
