TEMPE — Arizona State University President Michael Crow says the school may be ready to establish a presence in the Los Angeles area soon.
He told a chamber of commerce luncheon last week ASU may be close to opening an office in Santa Monica soon and if a deal can be found on a building, the school will offer classes that would house entrepreneurs in residence, as well as technology-transfer workers and student recruiters.
The Arizona Republic (http://evtnow.com/2il) reports ASU is also looking at expanding its global reach. Crow mentioned that negotiations are under way for a project in the United Arab Emirates, but he did not elaborate.
The school has operated a business school in Shanghai, China, since 2003 with 220 students.

ASU's liberal views would be most welcomed there.

Now I know where all my money went when I attended ASU. Every year my tuition increased, parking fees increased, and programs disappeared.
