On Oct. 9, downtown Phoenix will be awash in a sea of pink during the 19th Annual Susan G. Komen Phoenix Race for the Cure. But before the race starts, there is still time to register for the race either in-person or online. To register online, go to www.komenphoenix.org

This week, local businesses are hosting in-person registration:
• 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. today through Friday at Fry’s Marketplace, 855 W. Warner Road, Gilbert
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 2 at Wildflower Bread Company at Chandler Fashion Center, 3111 W. Chandler Blvd., Suite 1110.
Last year, more than 30,000 people participated in the event and raised more than $2 million towards education, screening and treatment for the medically underserved throughout central and northern Arizona and national research efforts.
