Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, a member of Catholic Healthcare West (CHW), will now provide patients undergoing joint surgery the Secure Track post surgical mechanical rehabilitation system. Instead of using a walker for rehabilitative therapy, patients will use the Secure Track mechanical therapy system. The system includes a ceiling-mounted monorail track, a patented trolley and a support device so patients can stand upright when they are walking to allow for a more natural gait. The track has been installed in the orthopedic and neurosciences department.

The joint replacement program at Mercy Gilbert includes a free class so patients and their caregivers know what to expect and how to prepare for surgery and the recovery process.
