A car driven by a woman who police say was impaired, was pulled out of a canal in east Mesa on Saturday.
The woman, whose name was not available, drove her vehicle into the SRP canal that intersects at Val Vista Road and Loop 202 about 3 a.m.
The woman was not injured and was able to get out of her car before flagging down a resident to call police, according to police.
After police arrived on the scene, they located the vehicle about 400 yards south of Loop 202.
Emergency fire crews checked the interior of the car to make sure no one else was inside.
