When would I need to replace a furnace?

An average life span is between 10-15 years for a furnace. The best question to ask yourself is when the furnace becomes 75% of its life expectancy or 7-8 years old and the cost to make repairs are 30% of the cost to replace the furnace, Delta Mechanical would strongly recommend replacing the system.

What are some of the concerns if it is not replaced?

The number one concern would be your safety. That can include how well the gas furnace works, carbon monoxide leaks, or corrosion through the heat exchanger.

What are the benefits of replacing it?

One benefit is energy savings. New systems can save you a couple hundred dollars a year in energy efficiency. Another benefit is that a well-working furnace improves your comfort level. You will have a heater that is functioning better, providing cleaner air, a quieter operation and reliability.

It comes down to two main things: Comfort and Economy. Comfort in that your temperature, humidity and quality of healthy air is at its best. Economy in that it will save you utility costs, warranty, future repairs, and other fees.

How much is a new system?

A new system is about $2,000 to $4,000

How long does it take to replace?

Delta Mechanical can replace your furnace in about a half a day. Delta has special financing offers that we carry rebates that manufacturers have and tax incentives. Delta Mechanical offers FREE ESTIMATES for anyone interested in saving money and improving the comfort level of their home.

How can I best take care of the current heater I have?

Heating systems are mechanical and should be TUNED UP at least once a year. Most home warranties will state that your heating and cooling system should be checked and cleaned every year to avoid lapse of coverage. Having that done will make sure your system lasts longer and is running more efficiently. Right now, Delta Mechanical has a special half price Tune-Up offer for the next 30 days.
